We render four categories of capacity building services: individual, educational, organisational and institutional. These services are interrelated, with the potential of impacting positively on a more inclusive and competitive local economy.

Individual capacity building services are training, assisting and coaching of professionals on the MSM expertise areas, including Training of Trainers. Expertise areas include: Vocational Training and University Development, Triple Helix, Industrial Policy and Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, change and Organisational Development, Inclusive and Sustainable Development.

Organisational capacity building services are comprised of organisational assessments, strategy development, development of tools and SOPs, as well as improving multi-stakeholder management. MSM assists organisations, businesses and networks to operate more adequate, (financially) sustainable – hence client oriented -, and gender-sensitive.

Educational capacity building services are targeting vocational and higher training and education institutes as well as regulatory bodies in the educational sector. Services include amongst others curriculum review and - development, labour market needs assessment, development of internship and apprenticeship programmes, and improvement of entrepreneurship education and incubation.

Institutional capacity building services are centered on policy development and improving multi-stakeholder partnerships. MSM highly values a networked triple helix approach in working with academia, business and government. We apply practical tools to analyse value chains, partnerships and competitiveness in emerging economies. Research results are used to identify opportunities for value chain upgrading and subsequent intervention strategies for different organisational actors using a triple helix approach. Our public and private partnerships play a pivotal role in all our projects and research.
