MSM continues collaboration with Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority with executive programme on organisational transformation and cybersecurity
From 15 to 18 September 2026, Maastricht School of Management (MSM) welcomed professionals from the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) in Tanzania for a new custom-made executive programme, Transforming NCAA for the Future: Cybersecurity, Change Management and Strategic Planning.
The four-day programme marked the next step in the continued collaboration between MSM and NCAA, supporting the organisation in its ambition to strengthen its operations and further develop as a premium and ultra-premium conservation destination.
Building on NCAA’s ongoing organisational and digital transformation, the programme focused on two increasingly important areas: leading organisational change and strengthening cybersecurity awareness and resilience. Participants explored how leaders can successfully guide employees through transformation, manage resistance, communicate effectively during periods of change and create a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.
The cybersecurity sessions addressed the evolving cyber threat landscape and the organisational measures needed to manage digital risks. Participants explored topics such as phishing and social engineering, ransomware, data breaches, identity and access management, data protection and cybersecurity culture. A practical cyber incident response simulation challenged participants to apply these insights to a realistic cyberattack scenario, including crisis decision-making, stakeholder communication and business continuity.
The programme concluded with a strategic implementation and partnership planning session. Building on insights from a field visit to Ngorongoro conducted by MSM prior to the programme, participants reflected on current organisational challenges and opportunities, identified strategic and capacity-building priorities, and worked towards an implementation roadmap for the next phase of NCAA’s transformation.
This programme builds on two earlier custom-made programmes delivered by MSM for NCAA. In December 2025, participants strengthened their capabilities in Big Data Management and Data-Driven Decision Making, exploring how data, analytics and artificial intelligence can support operational and strategic decision-making. This was followed in March 2026 by a programme on Strategic Execution & Data Analysis, which focused on translating NCAA’s strategic ambitions into clear priorities, measurable objectives and accountable ownership.
Together, the three programmes reflect a continued learning and transformation journey, moving from strengthening data-driven decision-making and strategic execution towards the organisational, leadership and digital capabilities required to successfully implement change. The continued collaboration between NCAA and MSM demonstrates a shared commitment to building sustainable organisational capacity and translating strategic ambitions into practical results.
