Project EIS adjusts to current situation where possible

20-07-2020

Project End Impunity of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (EIS) has also come across the difficulties that a pandemic brings to continue the progress of a project. Fortunately, the research data collection had just been completed before the Ugandan lockdown came in place.

The research outcomes inform the outlines and manuals of the trainings. The project team is trying to continue the activities as much as possible. Fewer meetings in smaller groups were organized to discuss the outlines of the trainings to be developed. Manual writing is mostly done online.

It is not yet known whether the face-to-face training of trainers can commence in time since these are scheduled to begin September 2020.

About Project EIS
In January 2019 MSM started the 3-year project EIS with funding from the Nuffic Orange Knowledge Programme. The project strengthens institutional and training capacity of police and judiciary to end impunity of perpetrators and support survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Uganda.
