Full-time MBA | Maastricht School of Management Full-time MBA

Agile’s emergence as a huge global movement extending beyond software, is driven by the discovery that the only way for organisations to cope with today’s turbulent customer-driven marketplace is to become Agile. Agile enables organisations to master continuous change. It permits firms to flourish in a world that is increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous.

As part of the Full-time MBA, the Innovation Module on Agile Project Planning introduces you to the principles and practices that make Agile such a powerful approach to leading modern organisations. Together, we will explore:

  • The rise of the Agile movement and why it matters in today’s business landscape.
  • The distinctions between Agile values, principles, and practices.
  • Value-driven development and adaptive planning techniques.
  • How to foster deep collaboration with customers, across organisations, and within teams.

The module places a special focus on two core Agile disciplines, Scrum and Kanban, brought to life through interactive workshops and a capstone Lego4Scrum simulation. These hands-on experiences ensure you develop practical skills, not just theoretical knowledge. By completing this module, you will:

  • Be ready to contribute as an effective member of a Scrum team, even as a beginner.
  • Gain a practical toolkit for managing change and driving innovation.
  • Receive a Certificate in Agile Fundamentals: Scrum and Kanban, demonstrating your capability and readiness to apply Agile principles in real-world business contexts.
“The lessons learned in the Innovation Module have equipped me with the tools to identify market opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and lead cross-functional teams in dynamic environments. These skills are valuable in today's rapidly evolving business landscape. The expertise and enthusiasm of the lecturer, David Cass, created an inspiring learning environment, while collaborative group projects fostered insightful discussions and knowledge sharing among classmates. The diverse perspectives brought by my peers enhanced my understanding of innovation principles.” Bolanle Elizabeth Ogundeji, Full-time MBA alumna
