Tailor made training on transformational leadership for public sector of Sri Lanka

From 22-30 August a group of 25 senior executives and high level civil servants, who finalized a management program of the Postgraduate Institute of Management from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in Sri Lanka.took part in a tailor made program on Transformational Leadership at MSM.

This intensive program provided the participants with knowledge on transformational leadership styles and the contextual elements for transformation processes in which the subject of multistakeholder management was explained. During a work visit to the Economische Samenwerking Zuid-Limburg (Economic Cooperation South Limburg) the Triple Helix concept was presented. In the Triple Helix concept the multi stakeholders work together through a network of firms, universities, educational institutes and regional and local government bodies.

Work visits were organized to The Dutch National Bank in Amsterdam where participants got a  presentation by an expert of the Bank on Brexit after which all joined enthusiastically in some interactive games on the consequences of inflation. In The Hague the National Academy of Finance and Economics gave a full presentation on the activities of the Academy and how public finance was organized in central and local governments in The Netherlands.
