Meet MSM's Staff Members: Introducing Denise E.N. Dupont

23-02-2018

At MSM we are proud of the more than 40 staff members who are committed and eager to fulfill our mission in offering management and entrepreneurship education, advice and research to individuals and organizations from all over the world. To become more acquainted with our staff members and to show you how it feels for them working at MSM we will each month highlight one of our staff members. This month the spotlight will be on Ms. Denise E.N. Dupont

Let me introduce myself…
I’m Denise and I am working as Alumni and Student Services officer at MSM. I hold a bachelor degree in International Business of Zuyd Hogeschool in Maastricht (NL) and before that I have studied Tourism and Aviation services at ROC Leeuwenborg.

After doing several internships abroad in Spain and Malta, I joined MSM as a final year student and completed my thesis on student recruitment in Indonesia and Brazil. Shortly after MSM offered me a fulltime contract within the Student Enrollment Department, but Alumni services has always been a part of my job. Next to my position as student enrolment officer I have been active within the Admissions department and just recently moved away from admissions to student services.

Being part of their experience when they study at MSM is absolutely amazing…
I am fortunate to have regular contact with our students. I love this because they come from so many different parts of the world, with so many different background and with so many  amazing stories which makes it never boring. As MSM alumni are our ambassadors setting up a good student experience is a very important part of creating a strong connection with our alumni. We are continuously working on getting even closer to our alumni and offer them platforms where they can share knowledge and experiences with former students.

I have always been attracted to different cultures and travelling. This is also why I studied international business. Being in contact with all these students from all over the world is fantastic but being part of their experience when they study at MSM is absolutely amazing! However working in such an international oriented environment as MSM is very enriching, it also has its challenges. But that is exactly the reason why working at MSM stays exciting!

What I mostly do in my spare time..
I love the Burgundian style of life in Maastricht and this helps me to give students the advice on where to go in Maastricht during weekends. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Furthermore, I have always enjoyed travelling but just recently discovered that I like backpacking the most. This is what I would like to do more in the near future.
