MSM hosts the first Business Advisory Board meeting

On 10 December 2018 MSM welcomed the Business Advisory Board. The Business Advisory Board, which consists of prominent and experienced business leaders, is established in an effort to increase stakeholder input at MSM and will be serving in an advisory capacity to the Dean and the Management Team.

The Business Advisory Board advises on the relevance of MSM’s education, research and consulting, and on the positioning of the School as a partner of the business community.

The Business Advisory Board consists of the following members:

  • Mr. Markus Baum: Vice President of Sales of Koninklijke Nedschroef Holding BV
  • Dr. Sándor Erdei: Founder and CEO at DBH Group
  • Mr. Patrick Mans: CEO of TopVintage
  • Mrs. Monique Princen: Chairman MKB Limburg
  • Mr. Jan-Willem Scheijgrond: Head of International Partnerships Philips

During the meeting the current skills that businesses are looking for and the future skills needed in 5 years’ time were discussed. The Business Advisory Board also advised MSM on what kind of programs and training courses post-MBA/MM MSM should offer and how MSM can facilitate traineeships during or at the end of the MBA/MM program. Other main items discussed were; how can the Business Advisory Board help MSM with embedding course assignments and consulting projects in local businesses and how could MSM facilitate the link between local business community through its partners, students and courses in the countries MSM operates in.

Next to the Business Advisory Board there is also a Faculty Advisory Board at MSM. This Board consists of a number of prominent and experienced leaders in higher education who advise the Dean and Management Team on the strategy of the School towards the continuous quality improvement of its education and research programs, and their positioning in the market for Graduate Management Education (GME).

MSM highly appreciates the dedication, contribution and efforts the board members have taken so far and looks forward to a long-term and fruitful collaboration.
