Webinar: Improving the Livelihood of Smallholders in Emerging Economies

22-06-2022

As part of the Indonesian T20 - Task Force 4 on Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture, MSM and the Center for Transdisciplinary and Sustainability Sciences (CTSS) will deliver a webinar on Improving the Livelihood of Smallholders in Emerging Economies on Wednesday, 22 June 2022, from 15:00 - 17:00 WIB (Jakarta Time - GMT+7)

The position of smallholder farmers in emerging economies is under pressure. Urbanization and globalization are driving diet shifts and paving the way for new retailing formats such as supermarkets. As the smallholder segment is not able to adapt to this changing food landscape, demand is being fulfilled by fast rising imports. The question remains how the smallholder segment can become part of these new and dynamic markets.

Since the role of smallholder farmers is crucial in ensuring food security and sustainable agriculture, this topic deserves the attention of our Task Force 4. As a part of the Indonesian T20 - Task Force 4 on Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture, Maastricht School of Management (MSM) together with the Center for Transdisciplinary and Sustainability Sciences (CTSS) cordially invite you to the webinar "Improving the Livelihood of Smallholders in Emerging Economies" which will be held on:

WEDNESDAY, 22 JUNE 2022
15:00 - 17:00 WIB (Jakarta Time - GMT+7) / 10am - 12 am (CEST)

The webinar will take place via Zoom.
