Online Masterclass | The Hidden Statistician: How Your Mind Actually Works

03-03-2026

On Tuesday, 3 March 2026 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm (CET), Khaled Wahba will conduct the online masterclass The Hidden Statistician: How Your Mind Actually Works.

About the online masterclass

In this one-hour online masterclass, Khaled Wahba, Adjunct Faculty, takes you on a thought-provoking journey through statistics as a way of understanding business, decisions, and life itself. The session is not about formulas or calculations, it focuses on mindset, judgment, and how future leaders learn to see the world differently.

Over the years, Khaled Wahba has noticed something fascinating: every time he teaches statistics, whether at an introductory or advanced level, he arrives at the same conclusion: we don’t really learn statistics; statistics learns us.

Statistics, in his view, is the unspoken language behind the human story. It quietly explains behaviours, choices, and even contradictions. Its vocabulary, syntax, and grammar are powerful enough to translate human curiosity, doubt, fear, and ambition into something that can be examined, questioned, and acted upon.

At its core, statistics begins with one of humanity’s most fundamental pursuits: the search for truth. Khaled Wahba emphasizes that it challenges people to define what “truth” really means, especially when signals are buried deep inside oceans of noise and uncertainty. As decision-makers, we often wander through that jungle, surrounded by data, patterns, and illusions, trying to find meaning, clarity, and sometimes reassurance.

Statistics does not promise certainty. It does not offer final answers or guaranteed outcomes. Instead, he presents it as something far more valuable: a disciplined way of thinking. It provides tools to estimate truth, separate signal from noise, and make better decisions, while recognizing that uncertainty is part of the human condition.

You are encouraged to roll up your sleeves, put your phone away, and fully lean into the experience. For one hour, you step away from the noise and learn how to make sense of it.

At the end of the online masterclass, you’ll have the chance to ask your questions and engage directly with Khaled Wahba.

Khaled Wahba is also the author of the book Beyond the Numbers: 10 Facts About How We Really Live: A Statistical Journey Through Life’s Deepest Truths, available on Amazon.
