In the classroom: A student’s perspective on the 2025 Full-time MBA courses
The Full-time MBA group hit the ground running in 2025 with courses in Corporate Responsibility and Ethics, Marketing in the Global Context and Entrepreneurship. To offer you an insight into the classes, Raul Reyes from Mexico shares how he experienced the recently completed modules. He also provides some further details about studying at the Tapijnkazerne campus.
Course highlights
Raul highlighted the fact that the Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethics course made him more aware of the importance of his action to future stakeholders. “These are not limited to the customers but involves the society we participate in. The Marketing course was a great opportunity to visualise and reflect on how companies should focus on the communication of their value, not only from the aesthetic essence, but rather how to create an appealing communication based on the value of their product/service. It was interesting to reflect that some campaigns are good, but do not leave the brand in your mind. From the entrepreneurship course, I take away the words of one of our guest speakers: you can grow faster in your professional career if you move beyond the traditional hierarchical structure of companies. This is a deep reflection we all shared and has opened our minds to new horizons.”
Whilst visualising my career path after the Full-time MBA, all three courses have brought me main take-aways which I can apply. “Although I might not consider the entrepreneurship career, I feel empowered and inspired by the talks we had with the two entrepreneurs who gave a guest lecture. The nerve and mindset they have is admirable, and really made me reflect on how I want to grow in my professional career. Although I have never been in the marketing area, I feel more connected with all the work they do. It is just an immense amount of work to create a full marketing brand campaign. And for CSR I am more confident in my comprehension of the responsibility we have as professionals. The scope of our works should be wider and consider the consequences from our decisions on a management level with more commitment to our community.”
“These courses were dynamic and included company visits which made it a interactive and real experience. It was interesting to encounter these situations from a consultant point-of-view and participate with real advise to the companies.”

Studying at the Tapijnkazerne campus
Raul also highlighted the study environment. “We all agree that traveling to the campus is already a nice experience. It is so well located, the vibe is truly inspiring, it has good spaces to study, and to gather with your fellow classmates.” Fellow student Karla could not agree more. “The university is located near the heart of Maastricht, making my daily journey to and from school a truly magical experience. Strolling through the city, I get to admire its stunning architecture, picturesque landscapes, and all the charm this wonderful place has to offer. Every step feels like a little adventure, immersing me in the beauty and history that surround me.
