MSM is proud to partner with the The Social Hub (TSH) Talent Foundation to offer the MSM Beyond Borders Fellowship, a unique opportunity for purpose-driven and socially engaged students who wish to pursue their Master in Management or Full-time MBA studies at Maastricht School of Management (MSM).
The fellowship combines a tuition fee scholarship provided by MSM with accommodation and a personal development programme offered by The Social Hub through its Changemaker Scholarship Programme. Together, MSM and TSH aim to empower future leaders who demonstrate not only academic potential, but also a strong commitment to creating positive impact in their communities and beyond.
The fellowship is designed for students who embody responsible global leadership, embrace diversity and inclusion, and actively contribute to meaningful change through entrepreneurship, community engagement, sustainability, or social innovation.
What does the MSM Beyond Borders Fellowship include?
The MSM Beyond Borders Fellowship includes:
- A 50% tuition fee scholarship provided by MSM
- Accommodation at The Social Hub in Maastricht for up to 12 months
- Access to the TSH Changemaker Scholarship Programme
- Participation in an international community of changemakers and future leaders
The accommodation at The Social Hub is covered from 1 September 2027 until 31 August 2028.
Please note that fellowship recipients are still responsible for:
- The remaining 50% of the tuition fee
- Flight expenses
- Living expenses and proof of sufficient financial means as required for visa/residence procedures
About the TSH Changemaker Scholarship Programme
The TSH Changemaker Scholarship Programme was created by the TSH Talent Foundation based on the belief that “opportunity is a right, not a privilege.” The programme supports talented and motivated students by removing barriers to international education and creating opportunities for personal and professional growth.
As part of the programme, fellowship recipients participate in approximately 40 hours of activities and community engagement throughout the academic year. These activities include:
- Workshops on leadership, storytelling, career planning, and soft skills
- Mentorship activities
- Community breakfasts and networking events
- Collaborative projects and value-based impact initiatives

Eligibility criteria MSM Beyond Borders Fellowship
This fellowship is highly selective and intended for candidates who demonstrate strong alignment with MSM’s mission and values.
In addition to meeting MSM’s general admissions requirements for the Master in Management or Full-time MBA, candidates should demonstrate:

Proven impact
Candidates should provide evidence of demonstrated impact through initiatives, projects, entrepreneurship, leadership, or community engagement, for example in the areas of:
- Community development
- Sustainability
- Entrepreneurship
- Social innovation
We particularly value candidates who have:
- Overcome barriers or challenging circumstances
- Created impact with limited resources
- Demonstrated resilience, initiative, and commitment to positive change
In line with the mission of the TSH Talent Foundation, preference may be given to candidates who have faced barriers in accessing educational opportunities or who come from underrepresented or underserved backgrounds.
Fellowship Commitments
Recipients of the MSM Beyond Borders Fellowship are expected to actively contribute to both the MSM and TSH communities during their studies.
This may include:
- Participation in MSM and CPDT activities and workshops
- Acting as an MSM Unibuddy Ambassador
- Contributing to blogs, vlogs, webinars, social media content, or student stories
- Participation in community and networking activities organised by TSH (as mentioned above)
- Potential future involvement as MSM mentor or alumni ambassador
Application Process
To be considered for the fellowship, candidates must:
- Submit a completed application for the MSM Master in Management or Full-time MBA programme as soon as possible, but before 1 May 2027. You can apply via the MSM online application portal.
- Submit the fellowship application and supporting materials by 1 May 2027 as indicated below through this form
As part of the application process, candidates will be asked to provide:
- A short presentation of 3-12 slides demonstrating their alignment with the fellowship criteria:
- Alignment with MSM values
- Leadsership creating opportunities for others
- Proven impact
- A short motivational video of 1-2 minutes, explaining how the fellowship and their studies at MSM will help them create opportunities and impact for others in the future
