The executive short course is about Gender Equality and Women Empowerment. Women are still often worse off than men, and therefore including a focus on women empowerment will be instrumental to closing the gender gap.

Women are obviously entitled to equal access to economic options, business and resources but in reality, there are many factors that obstruct or prevent such equal access.

In order for gender equality to improve, women’s and men’s needs and opportunities need to be addressed not only at community level but also system-wide.

"The content is designed in a structured and engaging manner, with a good mix of theory and practice.  I particularly like the way the programme provoked thoughts and reflection, which allowed me to first self-assess my leadership, and visualise how I am going to evolve to empower other women.”
Ms. Trân Tran Thi Ngoc (Vietnam) participant of the June 2023 programme

Attention for gender and women empowerment related issues and institutionalisation is therefore important. The program will address a number of relevant issues, ranging from strategy and policy towards agency and constraints at individual level and ways to overcome these.

““Given my background as a university lecturer and a strong advocate of women empowerment, the programme has enriched my capacity through valuable connections in networking, funding sources, and shared experience among the participants from across the regions of the world.”
Mr. Paul Okon Udofot (Nigeria)‚Äč participant of the June 2023 programme

Did you know that you can combine this programme with the Women Entrepreneurship Policy programme which will run the week after? Combining these two courses will save you up to a maximum of €500,-. For more information on the program click here or contact us
