Kyle David Smith

Kyle David Smith currently works as a SAFe® Practice Consultant (SPC) & Senior Scrum Master at Siemens Smart Infrastructure. In his role he leads the scaled Agile transformation initiatives across global business units and drives the adoption of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions in hybrid Agile teams. Previously, he worked as a Research Assistant Software Systems Programming and Development Chair (ICS-HSG, 2022). In this role he was the graduate research assistant for the SNF Project ProMiSE@HSG in the field of Computer Science and Business Process Management at the Chair for Software Systems Programming and Development. From 2019 – 2022 Kyle David Smith, joined Siemens Technical as a working student, during which he developed and gained experience in digital strategy, IT consulting and business analysis. From 2018 – 2019, he worked as a Project Manager Agenda 2030 (United Nations Program). In this role, he managed projects to implement the Sustainable Development Strategy and UN Agenda 2030, creating foundational documents and an information architecture tool for government use.

Kyle David Smith holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Camerino, School of Science and Technology and an M.Sc. in Business Information Systems from the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, School of Business (AASCB). In addition, he holds a BSc in Media Engineering with a major in media application development from University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons.

His research focuses on three dimensions: (1) how employees perceive and adopt these technologies, (2) how Agentic AI systems can be designed to proactively assist in Agile teams and (3) how organizations can implement governance frameworks to manage their integration responsibly. The goal is to understand how Agentic AI can augment—not replace—human agency in complex corporate environments based on Human-Centered AI (HCAI) principles.
