Living without corruption
From 8-12 April, MSM organized an intensive workshop for a group of ten leaders and managers of the Anti-Corruption Learning Center (ACLC) of the Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi, KPK).
The training workshop was about educational strategy development, didactics and marketing and is part of a one-year support program by MSM to the training center.
We want to live in a world without corruption. This short video message was one of the fruits of the workshop.
In two days, MSM expert Leo Kerklaan worked with the group on how to operationalize their broader objectives that in this case where often grounded more on political programs than on managerial reality. On the third day, the group visited the National Academy for Finance and Economics in The Hague and learned how they train civil servants in the field of public finance, audit and economics.
The last two days the group got insights on didactics, quality assurance, problem-based learning and educational marketing. One of the most interesting new insights the group got, was on the concept of transformational leadership, provided by MSM expert Ger Jonkergouw. He shared his many years of experience in working with industry and government, stating that the world of today needs managers that have the ability and attitude to network and connect different views for the betterment of society.
The workshop at MSM will be followed by several training sessions in Jakarta. These training sessions are meant to result in an agreed, operational strategic plan, a marketing plan, and at least one training course on transformational leadership delivered to staff of KPK, by the end of 2019. The larger ambition however is to develop and implement a training program together with MSM.
In her closing words to MSM CEO Meinhard Gans, Ms Dian Novianthi, Head of the training center, expressed her gratitude to MSM for the well-organized program. She complimented MSM for the professionalism of all the experts and the welcoming attitude of all.
The tailor-made training program is funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Nuffic as part of the Orange Knowledge Program.
