Many different kinds of teams exist, but they all share the need for proper leadership, even with self-directed teams.The general objective of this program is to equip managers/leaders with the know-how and skills to be an effective leader in order to enhance the general performance of the team(s) he or she is leading.

In this course you will learn about team leadership, your own personal leadership style and its effectiveness.

Because personal, team and organizational effectiveness is highly based on the internal values people hold, the concept of value based leadership is central to this course.

Course objectives

The main objective of this program is to provide you with conceptual and practical understanding of team leadership, and to have you improve the necessary skills for acquiring relevant impact in leading teams.

At the end of the program you will have acquired deeper insight in underlying concepts, mechanisms and dynamics, as well as in your own personal leadership style, and its effectiveness in typical situations.

You will have learned how leadership really works out in the practice of working in teams, how your own and the behaviors of the team members have impact, and how to use influence techniques in such a way that higher team performance can be realized.

Teaching methods
