Introduction

The international Executive MBA jointly offered by the Maastricht School of Management (MsM) and Cologne Business School (CBS) prepares you to become a leader in today’s dynamic global business environment. The program balances management theory with practical experience and applied research in a multicultural, multidisciplinary setting. The Executive MBA is designed to stimulate creative management thinking and to teach the skills needed to transform management knowledge into practice.

Why should you choose the part-time MsM / CBS Executive MBA program?

  • The Executive MBA program is an internationally accredited program;
  • The modular design of this part-time program enables you to combine your study with professional responsibilities. Classes are conducted in seven modules, each lasting nine days, followed by a three-month break. The program can be completed in 24 months;
  • The Executive MBA program includes a study trip to Shanghai, offering a unique opportunity to interact with the international business community in China’s economic center.
  • You share this study experience with fellow participants from various countries and professional backgrounds, a fact that enriches the learning experience and provides you the opportunity to expand your international network. Admission

Admission requirements

Admission to the MSM Executive MBA Program takes place on a competitive basis.

A sound academic background is the main prerequisite for admission. Applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or its academic equivalent from a recognized university, and must have experience in business, economics and management.
Five or more years of managerial experience are required.

Proficiency in English is absolutely essential to complete the EMBA Program. Applicants whose previous education has been in a language other than English must submit evidence of proficiency in the English language. The minimum criteria are the following:

o 230 computer-based test
o 570 paper-based test
or
  IELTS score of 6.5
or
  An equivalent standard on an alternative test, for example.:
o Pearson test of English 59
o Cambridge Proficiency Examination C
o Cambridge Advanced English test B


A GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) score of at least 500 is recommended.

Admission Procedures
Candidates are admitted to MsM on a competitive basis. To apply for the Executive MBA program, please fill out our online application form.

In order to complete the application process we also need the following documents:
• Copies of Bachelor / Master degree(s)
• Academic transcripts
• Proof of English proficiency
• Two reference letters
• Personal resume
• Letter of motivation

All letters and documents must be submitted in or accompanied by certified translations in English, the official working language at MsM.

As soon as we have received your online application we will provide you with the details of how to submit the required documents and the non-refundable application fee of € 120.

Applications are processed immediately on receipt. However, the deadline for applications is 1 August  of the respective year in which the candidate wishes to enroll. Each application will be processed on an individual basis. The Graduate Admissions Board will make a decision based on the candidate’s prior academic performance, work experience and overall achievements and goals. We will inform you as soon as possible of the Admissions Board's decision.

MSM reserves the right to withdraw an offer of admission if candidates fail to satisfy all requirements or if it is determined that admission was obtained through the use of falsified, altered or embellished information.
