In cooperation with the Maastricht Graduate School of Governance, MSM implemented a tailor made training for the Social Insurance Institute of Albania (SII). The overall objective of the training was to assist the Social Insurance Institute of Albania to consolidate its position as an independent public institution by increasing the capacity to design, implement, manage, monitor and evaluate sustainable social insurance arrangements in the country.
The purpose of the training is to prepare 19 staff and specialists of the Institute in understanding the design of social insurance schemes, in conducting social protection policy analyses, in identifying training needs and in the management of the Institute and its activities. The training was carried out partly in Albania and included a three week study visit to the Netherlands.
