Short Profile
Venter holds a Masters of Commerce from the University of Pretoria and a PhD from the University of Stellenbosch . After qualifying as an Industrial Psychologist, Venter joined the South African Department of Trade and Industry and served as trade representative in Houston, USA and Paris, France for many years. Venter joined the University of Stellenbosch thereafter, teaching International Marketing and involvement in the Centre for Entrepreneurship, of which he became Head in 1996.
He served as Visiting Professor at Bowling Green State University , Ohio from 2000 to 2002 and Bond University Australia ’s campus in Johannesburg as Head of the Business Faculty thereafter.
Venter has been involved in several MsM projects in Africa since 2005. His teaching and research interests relate to international management issues associated with especially developing countries.
