Teaching Methodology

The training approach of MSM aims to blend lectures with experiential and active learning. The subjects are made up of a selection of topics with a balanced mix of concepts and theories, which are introduced in a practical manner. The majority of the faculty members of MSM have extensive business experience in their respective specializations.

Since most of the participants have work experience in the business environment, the mutual exchange of these work-related experiences among the participating executives is an important part of the MBA education. Programs and courses are designed to use an adequate mixture of qualitative and quantitative theory and application.

To teach concepts and theories of management, stimulate critical thinking and transform management problems into opportunities from a multidisciplinary and multicultural perspective is our aim. The general approach is one of lectures, problem based learning exercises, case study analyses, student participation, seminars and discussions, and independent study. The majority of the courses taught include case studies, because they simulate decision-making skills. Case studies provide a vehicle for identifying problems, analyzing them, deriving solutions and considering how to implement them.

Study Groups

Working efficiently and effectively in multicultural groups is emphasized in the MBA program through an approach of group-study. This is considered an invaluable skill for managers. The use of group study enables participants to benefit from the experiences of others. Group members are carefully selected in order to get a maximized learning opportunity from fellow members of different cultures and work environments.

Outcome Assessment of Graduates:
  • Analytical competence
  • Solid understanding of business
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams
  • Multidisciplinary understanding
