financial assistance for candidates who are still looking for financial
support. There could be many more possible sources of financial support
within your own national government ministerial departments as well as
in regional institutions in your part of the world.
The Netherlands Fellowship Program
The purpose of the NFP is to
enable professionals from developing countries to enroll in a MBA
Program of up to one year which is provided entirely or partly by a
Dutch organization. Fellowships are available for professionals coming
from 57 selected countries and emerging economies.
Nuffic, the Netherlands Organization for
International Cooperation in Higher Education, facilitates the Netherlands
Fellowship Program. Further information on the Nuffic programs and criteria for

Candidate profile
A candidate applying at a Dutch Embassy for a
fellowship under the NFP programs should meet the following general criteria:

Be a national of and working
in one of the 57 developing
countries
-
Have been unconditionally
admitted by a Dutch institution to one of the master’s degree programs on
the course list. This means that the applicant must have met all the
requirements set by the Dutch institution;

Be nominated by his/her employer, who pledges to
continue payment of the candidates salary and to hold the candidates job
for them while they are studying at MSM in Maastricht
-
Not be employed by a large
industrial, commercial, international or multinational organization, which
can be assumed to have sufficient resources of its own to finance staff training;
-
Offer evidence of
proficiency in speaking and writing the language of instruction.

Be available for the entire
period of the program and be physically and mentally able to take part in
the entire program;
-
Declare that they will
return to their home country immediately after the study program has
ended.

Have completed an NFP
Master’s Degree Program application form and have submitted all the
required documentation to the Netherlands embassy or consulate;
Fellowship application
Only
after having obtained provisional admission, candidates can apply for a NFP
fellowship through the Netherlands Embassy.

Before submitting the application to Nuffic in The Hague, the
Netherlands Embassy will assess each application on country-specific
criteria. On the basis of number of applications per study program,
each study program will be awarded a number of fellowships by Nuffic.
The final selection of candidates is carried out by MSM. MSM informs
the candidates and the respective Embassies of the final selection and
arranges for the necessary logistics (visa, travel arrangements and
housing in Maastricht).
StuNed
StuNed,
Studeren in Nederland, is a scholarship program that aims to contribute
to the development of Indonesia through strengthening the human
resources of Indonesian organisations. Each year some 150-200 full
scholarships are offered for professionals to follow master programs,
short courses or tailor made training, all conducted in the English
language. Graduates commit themselves to return to Indonesia
immediately after graduation and to be actively involved in the
development.
Candidate Profile
The
StuNed program aims at providing scholarships to government officials
(central and regional), NGO officials, lecturers-educators and
journalists. Employees of private companies working in development
related sectors are also invited to apply. The ideal StuNed candidate
is strongly committed to the development of Indonesia; possesses proven
leadership qualities; is strongly committed to the eradication of
corruption and other bad governance practices; and can justify how the
scholarship contributes to the development of his/her organization.

provide evidence of the academic achievements (minimum G.P.A. score
2.75):

relevant work experience for at least two years;

have an academic or professional background that is related to the subject of the course

course and be able to participate in and complete all courses

have a high level of English proficiency

not have studied abroad in the past two years

admitted to one of the courses or programs offered by Institutes of
Higher Education in the Netherlands for the academic year 2007;

of 1 September 2007, the application be not older than 40 years for
male; for female 45 years;
Fellowship Application
Applicants
are strongly advised to contact the institution well in advance for
further information about the details of the course and the admission
procedure; the university or institute offering the course will have
its own admission requirements.
Applicants should take the following steps:

Choose a study program

Go
to the website of the university offering the chosen study program and
find out more about its contents, application procedure, start date etc.

Establish
contact with the international officer of the university via e-mail.
Apply for the chosen study program and obtain the admission letter.

Download the StuNed (pre-registration)
application form
from the NESO website.
-
submit
the StuNed application form with all required attachments, including
the (provisional) admission letter from the Dutch university, to the
NESO office as soon as you can but before the deadline. Incomplete
applications will not be processed.
