Outreach Executive Programs

Introduction

The Outreach Executive Programs are training programs especially designed for a group of participants who need training in a specific area. The programs are organized per country or per region in close co-operation with a local counterpart. The duration and focus of the programs vary according to the demand in respective country. This will be discussed with the counterpart.

The training programs deepen and broaden the knowledge and professional skills of persons in their mid-career who need further training in their field. The programs are also an excellent incentive for people who are looking for knowledge in areas outside of their experience. Generally, the subjects of the courses are state of the art in the different management areas and incorporate the latest developments in management thinking and research.

Design

The programs concentrate initially on developing participants’ knowledge and skills in the various areas of management. During the course emphasis is placed on the practical and strategic integration of the disciplines by dealing with workshops, case studies and role-playing. All topics are discussed within a global and multi cultural frame of reference.

The success of Executive Training Programs is the integration and application of the gained knowledge to the challenges and problems faced by the participants’ organization. To achieve this goal the participants are requested to prepare a Back Home Action Plan at the end of the program for their home organization in order to implement the knowledge gained and the skills obtained to the reality of their home situation.
The courses are rewarded with a certificate.

Duration

The duration of the Outreach Executive Programs vary between 1 to 2 to 3 weeks with a possible duration up to a maximum of 8 weeks.

Location

The programs are initially delivered in the home country or region of the participants. Part of the program can be implemented in the Netherlands including training and company visits.

Counterpart

The Outreach Executive Programs are designed by the Maastricht School of Management in collaboration with the local counterpart. The implementation of the programs is a joint effort between the local counterpart and MSM. For the local experiences the academic input from the counterpart is very important. The academic input from MSM will provide the global academic delivery. A close co-operation between both institutes is one of the success factors of these programs.
The counterpart is responsible for the marketing and local arrangements of the program.

Language

Initially the main language of the training course is English, if possible the course could be taught in other languages.

Participant profile

The profile of the participants varies according to the main topic of the course. An adequate background is necessary for a successful participation in the course.
The total number of participants per course varies up to a maximum of 25.
